Why are your classes only 7  days (21 hours)?

I am a firm beliver that the most effective learning is provided through hands on experience. To me, one on one precise coaching is more effective than hours of class room setting wasted in theory. In simple terms my philosophy is QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. My classes are full of Latest tips & techniques & where we do a lot of hands on training to make my students experts in a short time. Therefore full makeup classes are taught in a short/useful description with hands on training.

DAY 1:

Introductions

Discussing the Cosmetic Industry

Education and Employment

(TV/Film, Retail, Education, Print – Freelancing)

Full skin care lesson

Identifying different skin types

How to treat a skin types

Recommended products to use (Skin care and Makeup products)

Importance of a good skin care routine and how it applies to makeup.

Sanitization & its great importance

 

Base + Foundation

Purpose – Why we use it and what are the benefits

Tools – What tools to use to apply different types of foundations

Types of Foundations – Discussing a variety of different foundations

Matching/Identifying skin tones – Learning how to establishes ones undertone

Application – Different techniques to apply foundations

Unique foundations – Special products, concealers, setting powders

Demonstrate on a student/model and then students will pair up and complete base + foundation applications with their partners and then switch.

 

DAY 2:

 

Highlighting & Contouring

Purpose – To brighten certain features on face as well as define

Tools – Brushes

Types - Products

Areas to apply – Techniques/Anatomy

Demonstrate on a student/model and then students will pair up and complete full base + foundation, the natural eye look as well as highlighting/contouring applications with their partners and then switch.

 

Eyes + "The natural day look"

Products – Different types of primers, shadows, eyeliners, mascara’s

Tools - Brushes & miscellaneous items such as wands etc

Falsh Lashes – Purpose, Applications techniques, types of lashes

Demonstrate the "day look" (Foundation + eyes) on a student/model and then students will pair up and complete foundation and eye applications with their partners and then switch.

 

DAY 3:

 

Eyes + "The Smokey eye"

(Re-cap previous eye class asking questions to students)

Discuss the smokey eye (evening look)

Discuss how to achieve the look

Discuss special techniques and tools to achieve the smokey eye

Demonstrate the Smokey Eye on a student/model and then students will pair up and complete the Smokey Eye with their partners and then switch.

 

DAY 4:

 

Bridal  Foundations / Eyes

Lips

Products – Lip sticks, Stains, Lip liners, Lip gloss etc

Tools – Brushes, spatula’s

Application – Techniques

Demonstrate on a student/model and then students will pair up and complete full base + foundation, an eye look, highlight and contouring as well as lips applications with their partners and then switch.

 

DAY 5:

 

Face Shapes and Eye Shapes

Identifying different face shapes/eye shapes

Make up techniques for different face shapes/eye shapes

(Round, Square, Oval, Heart, Oblong) and (Close set, deep set, far set)

False Lashes

Different types (Strip, half strip, singles) + different types of glue

Application techniques

How to clean and maintain false lashes

Demonstrate lash application on a student and they will pair up and practice on each other a full face make up application including applying false lashes

Full practice class from begining

 

DAY 7:

 

Final Day

Students receive certificate of completion with a Practical exam !

(KIT: $200 EXTRA Includes 22 " long 100% human hair,4 big boxes of variety pins,comb,stuffings etc) Students are welcome to bring in their own kits as well.
